Companies that offer their products and services online are continually increasing. If you have a start up business on the Internet, you would find that there are several other companies that are in the same field as you are. The competition is cutthroat, so you need to have a working strategy in order to stand out from the rest and become successful. Here are some helpful tips that would help you achieve this.

Run guerilla marketing campaigns

Guerilla marketing as you may already know it is about being innovative, thinking outside the outside of the box and getting the most result from low cost marketing techniques. I learn a whole lot of attitudes to have during my internship at SEO company YEAH! Local. I suggest you find yourself real life experience if you are totally new at this, it is the greatest teacher.

Seems easier said than done huh? While these techniques aren’t in fact as easily implemented, there are tips that you can follow so you can make it happen.

  1. Determine what your market needs. You’re basically looking for the problems that they’re experiencing as they’ll normally be looking for solutions.
  2. THOROUGHLY think about/research the avenues that you can reach them. Is it via social media, posters in the bus, or perhaps painting your slogan in the streets, etc…?
  3. Once you have both points figured out, think of the overlap between both spaces and you’ll usually find the guerilla marketing method there.

Leverage on your competitor’s assets.

How do you do that, you might ask? Here are a couple of ways to go about it.

  1. Look/create a product that complements your competitor’s best product. DO NOT directly compete with them if it’ll just lead to unnecessary financial strain to your company.
  2. Carefully study where their customers are coming from. Which platform are they hanging out? Are they in forums, websites, or social media sites (among many others)? Once you have this figured out, then you’ve just found another goldmine to market your products to.
  3. Buy their product. Yep. That’s exactly what I said. Doing so will help you understand why the customers like their product. This is a great way for you benchmark and enhance your product.

Create an Effective Squeeze Page

Not many people know but squeeze pages can spell trouble for your competition if they don’t have one (and you do). That’s how effective this is!

A squeeze page is a landing page that’s created for collecting email addresses or leads. This is very important as it’s a way to directly connect with your potential customers. It should be enticing enough for people to provide their information. Let them know what they can gain from signing up, like getting a free e-book or a free email course. They are more likely to do this if they know that they can get something valuable from it.

Hiring an expert to create this landing page is not necessary. You can find an easy to use squeeze page generator that will let you do this on your own. Most of these applications don’t require coding or technical skills. There are also those that come with an auto response feature, which sends an automatic e-mail to your leads.

Follow up on your leads and continue showing them what your business could offer until you turn them into clients. It’s also equally important to keep building a relationship with your current customers to develop their loyalty to your company.
